Built to Help Riders Progress

At DBMX, training goes beyond just riding laps. As riders develop, coaching naturally evolves,  building confidence, improving technique and supporting progression at every level of BMX racing.

From first-time riders to experienced racers, DBMX provides a supportive environment where riders can learn, improve and enjoy the sport.

Weekly Coaching at DBMX

All DBMX training sessions are supported by experienced club coaches who work with riders of all ages and abilities.

Coaching focuses on:

  • Bike control and confidence

  • Track awareness and race lines

  • Safe progression at the rider’s pace

  • Building consistency and race readiness

Riders train together, creating an environment where beginners learn quickly, and experienced riders continue to improve.

Guest & Professional Coaches

Alongside regular club coaching, DBMX occasionally welcomes guest coaches and professional riders to deliver specialist training sessions.

These sessions give riders the opportunity to learn from athletes competing at the highest level of the sport, bringing fresh insight, advanced techniques and real race experience.

Previous guest coaches have included riders such as Quillan Isidore, offering elite-level knowledge while keeping sessions accessible and encouraging.

Guest coaching sessions are announced via Facebook and may be limited in numbers.

Gate Nights & Race Skills

Midweek gate nights place more focus on race-specific skills, including:

  • Gate starts and reaction timing

  • Speed and flow through the track

  • Line choice and decision-making

  • Race-day confidence

These sessions are ideal for riders who are racing or preparing to race, while still remaining supportive and inclusive.

Long Term Development

DBMX focuses on long-term progression rather than short-term pressure.

Some riders go on to compete at regional, national and international level, while others simply enjoy developing skills, confidence and friendships through BMX.

Both paths are equally valued.
