Race Day at DBMX
More Than Just Racing
Race days at DBMX are more than just competition, they’re full days of energy, atmosphere and community.
From the moment the gates open, the track comes alive with riders warming up, families setting up for the day and the sound of bikes hitting the track.
Riders compete in a series of moto races before progressing through knockout rounds and into the finals. Every race is timed, every gate matters, and every lap brings a new challenge.
Even if you’re new to the sport, it’s easy to follow and engaging to watch!

Beyond the Local Track
DBMX riders don’t just compete regionally, many go on to race at national level and beyond.
From Midlands regional rounds to the British BMX Series, our riders have progressed to compete at some of the highest levels in the sport, including European and World Championship events.

What to Expect Around the Track
Race days are busy, social and full of activity both on and off the track.
You’ll typically find:
-
Live commentary throughout the day
-
Music and atmosphere around the venue
-
Food, drinks and tuck shop available
-
Ice cream vans on busier event days
-
Raffles and fundraising supporting the club
It’s not just about racing, it’s a full day out for riders, families and spectators.
A Strong Community Feel
One of the best parts of race day is the sense of community.
You’ll see parents helping out, riders supporting each other between races and volunteers working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. New riders mix with experienced racers, and everyone plays a part in creating a welcoming environment.
It’s competitive on the track, but off the track, it’s all about support, encouragement and shared experience.
